Find Balance Amid Life’s Twists and Turns

Life can be overwhelming. Daily stressors, big life events, and the constant demands of others can leave you feeling stuck in survival mode, where even simple joys appear out of reach. Maybe you’re losing sleep, always on edge, or feeling disconnected from yourself and those around you.

If you’re someone who’s always giving—whether you’re a helping professional, caregiver, teacher, or just used to putting everyone else first—this can be especially tough. Burnout, compassion fatigue, and that deep sense of exhaustion are common when you’re struggling to find time for yourself.

You’re at a point where you just want to feel better. You crave happiness. You’re ready for change.

Whether you’re dealing with the pressures of work or grappling with personal challenges, our sessions will give you a much-needed pause: A space for you to reconnect with yourself, find clarity, and gain skills to effectively respond to whatever is coming at you.

⋮ Therapeutic Approach

In our fast-paced world it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters—your needs, your values, and even yourself. My approach to therapy is all about slowing down, tuning in, and the possibility of doing less.

We’ll uncover what’s underneath the surface to foster deeper self-understanding and identify any patterns that keep you stuck. With more clarity and a stronger sense of connection to yourself, we’ll focus on breaking free from habits that aren’t serving you anymore and embracing strategies that bring more ease and joy into your life.

The goal is for you to walk away feeling more self-assured, having a sense of balance, and connected to what matters to you most.

I believe the most important aspect of effective therapy is the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client.

My style is person first, theory second.

We’ll integrate techniques from various orientations to meet your unique needs.

  • Cultivating awareness and presence in the moment.

  • Emphasizing your inherent worth and potential.

  • Focusing on strengths and what is going well.

  • Enhancing empathetic and clear communication.

  • Identifying and changing unhelpful thought and behavior patterns.

  • Supporting motivation and commitment to change.

  • Concentrating on solutions and what's working, rather than dwelling on problems.

Find relief and start enjoying life again.

  • Therapy is completely individually-focused, which means everyone will get something different out of it. Your current life circumstances, your history of experiences, and your insights and perspectives will shape your unique sessions.

Therapy can address specific needs in the short term or be a regular practice for ongoing personal growth. In either case, therapy isn’t meant to be a quick fix or a passive activity where you get told what to do; it’s a participatory process, so the more you engage, the more you’ll benefit. Ultimately, it’s about applying what you learn to your daily life.

  • Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of my practice. Everything discussed in therapy remains confidential, with a few exceptions as mandated by law (e.g., threats of harm to oneself or others, child or elder abuse).

  • Open to all California residents, online sessions, also called telehealth therapy, allow us to connect through secure video conferencing. Online sessions can be just as effective as in-person sessions, offering a convenient way to receive support and care from the comfort of your own home or any private space where you feel at ease. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone (like a computer, tablet, or smartphone) and a stable internet connection.

If you encounter any technical issues, don’t worry! Try to reconnect first. If the problem continues, give me a call and I’ll help you troubleshoot.

  • Available to SF Bay Area locals craving a change of scenery, walk-and-talk sessions offer the benefits of nature and movement with therapeutic support: (1) Stepping into nature can ease anxiety, elevate mood, and help you feel more grounded. (2) The rhythmic movement strengthens your mind-body connection. (3) Walking side by side in a relaxed and open atmosphere can deepen our conversations.

You don't need to be "fit" to participate. I invite people of all levels and various abilities to explore if this could be appropriate for you and your therapy goals.

We would meet at a designated location that is convenient, easy to find, and the ideal setting for you, making any needed adjustments along the way.

Sessions are "rain or shine", though telehealth sessions are always an option when warranted.

  • Individual therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes. The duration of your therapy sessions will be discussed and agreed upon during your first appointment.

The number of sessions varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some people find that a few sessions are sufficient, while others benefit from longer-term therapy. We will regularly review your progress and adjust as needed, ensuring that the sessions continue to be useful to you with the aim that you reach a state in which you no longer need my support.

  • Individual session: $210*

I am in-network with Aetna and Cigna.

If you have out-of-network insurance benefits, I can provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt of your therapy sessions) to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Note that not all insurance companies/plans reimburse for superbills, so you'll need to contact your provider to find out if that is included in your health coverage.

*There may be an additional charge for walk-and-talk sessions that are outside my service radius.
