Focused Therapy (Single Session Option) in California
One issue. One session. A way forward.
There are moments when you don’t need ongoing therapy.
You need help thinking through one specific situation that’s been taking up too much mental space.
A decision you keep revisiting.
A conversation you’re avoiding.
A relationship issue you can’t quite resolve.
A change you know you need to make, but haven’t acted on.
This session is designed for that.
A Focused Therapy Session is a 60-minute, one-time session centered on one clearly defined issue.
We’re not trying to cover everything.
We focus on what matters most right now and work with it in a structured way so you can leave with direction and momentum.
For when the problem is not everywhere, but it won’t leave you alone.
This is a good fit if you are:
stuck in indecision and going back and forth
replaying a conversation or situation in your mind
unsure whether to speak up, step back, or make a change
overwhelmed by a specific decision (work, relationship, life direction)
avoiding a conversation you know you need to have
circling the same issue without resolution
not taking action even though you know you should
It’s a conversation about movement rather than an open-ended exploration.
What we’ll do in session:
We’ll begin by identifying the one situation you want to address.
From there, we’ll work toward:
clarifying what you want to do
cutting through the back-and-forth thinking
identifying a direction that feels workable and aligned
turning that into a concrete plan of action
If something is getting in the way, we’ll address it briefly and stay focused on helping you move ahead.
You don’t need all the answers—just enough clarity to take the next step.
Most people leave with:
a stronger sense for what they want to do
less second-guessing
greater confidence in a decision or conversation
a specific next step they feel ready to take
Some people use this as a standalone session and feel it’s enough.
Others decide they want more support afterward.
You decide what feels right for you.
